Sanding, Furniture Moving and Hoping Not to Pee in the Garden!

Well what a month for change here in Woking! Not only have we had a total bathroom refurbishment, it's also been shelf shuffling / removing and paint, paint and more paint!
We've changed our blue carpet, lime painted walls with a wallpaper dado rail, salmon coloured bathroom suite to a wonderful modern all white tiles, white suite and wood effect linoleum, all straight lines with chrome accessories and it is gorgeous! Well, dear reader, you can see the change from the photos and woo, yeah, ooh yes... it's bubbles in the bath with a lovely red wine and a side of truffles from now on in!
There was the slight worry, being a one bathroom house, that one may have been peeing by the shed whilst this renovation was being done, luckily the toilet was installed in a day and that was avoided! Phew!!
The new sparkly bathroom did mean though that Mr S wanted to refresh the rest of the house! So on our week's holiday it was sanding down, sponging, taking down shelves, putting the furniture etc on the lawn whilst Ma & Pa S painted. Awesome job they did too! It was my pleasure to ensure that they had enough tea to sink the Titanic and supply sandwiches at lunch. With a bit of re-jigging we managed to get an extra painting up and streamlines our CD and DVD collection. Managed to also provide the charity shop with some top gear too!
I did manage to get two days off during the seven day decorating effort... one up to London. There was a design exhibition on along the South Bank.. great stuff! Had yet another fabulous haircut from Hair by Fairy. We also popped along to the Royal Academy of Arts and checked out the external sculpture by Anish Kapoor... it's spotless!
My second day off wasn't so cruisey... a day out to celebrate Mr M's 30th birthday at Go Ape! What an adrenaline, bruise making day that was! Eleven of us climbing huuuuuge trees, and occasionally hugging them, jumping off them, walking between them on tiny little rope steps and having a wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee of a time on the flying fox, awesome! A birthday to remember for Mr M I am sure, and of course for us too!
