Inspiration or a load of Codswallop??

Well it's been an interesting week with work... both our once a year full company meeting and quarterly sales and make ting teams meeting. Everyone busy busy with presentations, organising tastings etc etc , or is that blah blah blah?

All the we have to engage out employees, inspire them to entrepreneurs and make lots of profit for us started with Mr Levi Roots coming on stage and telling us how he slayed the Dragons and is now a multi-million pound family company, from being arrested in the Brixton riots, to now having those bank managers that wouldn't give him the time of day now almost bowing when he comes in... a fabulous tale and lovely to hear that he wont be moving to some posh London area, staying with his roots. And of course to top it off he sang the Reggae Reggae Sauce song, wicked!

It was then the turn of an English rugby player, can't remember his name though as he was most definitely topped the following day by Mr New Zealand rugby legend himself, Sean Fitzpatrick (now making a successful career of inspiring businesses to be what they can be). A fabulous talk of rugby past and rugby new, not just the success but also the failures (well since NZ won the Rugby World Cup in 1987 they haven't won it since, though still considered the ultimate team to beat!). And I have to say that when he did the haka to us it was pretty damn incredible, no wonder the opposition on the pitch always look like they're going to wet their shorts a little!

All great and good I guess, though really am I now inspired to get out there and do something awesome? Well, no not really. I think I need some kind of permanent inspiration which can only come from myself and currently I am rather too happy where I am at.
