Ladies that Spa!

What a marvellous time that was!
Back in April I won a competition for a night at The Grove, including dinner, breakfast, accommodation and a free spa treatment - yay me!
Finally, with Miss S, it was fully indulged! Had a lovely room overlooking the Walled Garden, albeit it with parking in between (though with the funky topiary trees that didn't matter much, that had a huuuuge bathroom, bliss!
Miss S and I decided to follow one of their walking trails, partly through the golf course, partly along the tow path (chased along by a couple of tetchy swans), and partly through wetlands (which gumboots would have been great for!).
It was then a delicious al a carte dinner in the Glasshouse Restaurant - from Oriental to Indian to antipasto to fish to roast - it was all delicious! And we managed some items from the al a carte desserts!! (trifle, fruits, fudge and a funky chocolate that had space rocks in it, awesome!). All washed down with a lovely Chablis from Stellenbosh.
We then managed to plod back to the room, lazing round on the beds, slowly digesting. Only to start all over again with an al a carte breakfast! Don't think I need to eat for at least two days now!
After the scrummy breakfast it was off to Sequoia Spa for a relaxing foot treatment and body massage.. all one hour and fifteen minutes of it... ahhhhh, pure relaxing bliss! Miss S and I were going to partake of their lovely looking swimming pool, though we were so relaxed we could hardly talk, let alone swim!
What an awesome time!

Five Nation's Chinese..

..or was that six?
Was a fabulous evening out, though a bit sad. Some of the workmates and I went out to dinner to say farewell to Miss A (who is off travelling back home to NZ the long way round.. three months round!).
We headed of to Gerrard's Corner restaurant in China Town (funny name for a Chinese restaurant, though scrummo food!). There were eleven of us so we were able to sit at one of those big tables with the lazy susan, wicked!
It was great to see all the different foods coming out, I do so enjoy a good Chinese meal! It was also quite cool that there were South African's, Australian's, New Zealander's and one French person and one English - five nations! Or was it six as we were at a Chinese restaurant?!
It was then off to a bar and end a wonderful evening of great company with a glass of champagne, woo!
