The Biggest Flower Show of them All!
Well in England that is, not sure about other countries, anyway, I digress!
Mr S and I took a well deserved break from work to visit RHS Chelsea Flower Show, and what a fabulous idea that was!
We headed off fairly early and started off with a walk round the stands and gardens on the outside of the huge central marquee. There was everything from fake grass, to gnomes on planes, to a plasticine garden to a naked mesh lady! After a quick energy booster of hot dog, fish'n'chips, beer and G&T, it was off to tackle the marquee, and what a tackling it was. From the formal daffodil, vegetable and tulip displays to the amazingly colourful garden from South Africa, and a typical English Cottage garden, it was senses delight to ones eyes and nose!
We also saw Alan Titchmarsh and Joe Swift doing their filming bit for the BBC, though later that evening we didn't manage to spot ourselves on the TV, aww shame!
