Vroom! Vrooooom!

Well it has certainly been a couple of car infused weekends! Three car shows in just two weekends - I think I'm being turned into a petrol head! Mind you, there's not all that much kicking and screaming against it going on. That's probably due to the fact that two of them were in lovely settings and I was bought food! (Always a good bribing point to remember!)
First it was of to Sandown park for the National Volksworld Show 2009, just down the train tracks from Woking. It was certainly nice to catch the train and have a leisurely stroll, as opposed to driving like we did last year and sit in traffic for nearly an hour! This show was all about VW's, and as per last year it was raining a bit. Ah well at least it meant that you could have a good gander at the cars outside as most folks were out of the rain inside! Do so like the VW campers and one day it would be fabulous to own one!
Next it was off to Goodwood, for their once a month on a Sunday morning Breakfast Club. This one was for Fabulous Family Favourites - from Fords to Flaminas! So after a £9.50 (and worth every penny) full English breakfast it was off meandering around the ground looking at all the lovely cars, and some not so lovely - guess it's all in the eyes of the owners! There's nothing like a vintage car all in their finery to make you go ahhhhh.
And, finally after walking off that delicious breakfast it was off to Arundel Castle, which was also holding a MG car show in it's grounds! This time is was a quick glance at the cars while heading up to the castle and exploring it and the surrounding grounds first. Then back to the car for some admiring. I never knew that there were so many different MG types, and now of course I do! So thank you Mr S for slowly turning me into a petrol head! I just hope I don't start quoting letters and numbers, that'd be just too much! Yes, that's a SQ28.0 thingy bob wotsit you know!
