Speaking of Flowers...

What a wonderful time has been had visiting lots of places with lots of lovely trees and flowers doing the ooooh yes! It's spring thing!
First it was off to RHS Wisley, checking out all the daffodils, rhododendrons, and budding trees. Plus having a look round the wonderful new-ish glasshouse with all the tropical flowers and plants in it.
It was then off to Nyman's Garden for a meander round the grounds.. we didn't take a map so had a lovely stroll for many hours and luckily ended up back at the entrance! A beautiful landscape and the house is wonderful, more so that most of it is just a shell. And the bluebells, well... there were zillions of them, though after a while one did tend to be a little bluebelled out! (and lucky reader, there's a pic of me! Don't be dying of shock now!)
One of the houses associated with Rudyard Kipling was next on the list, Bateman's, and a beautiful spring day was had there. The National Trust does well in making sure the grounds are kept in good nick and the sausage rolls and pot of tea indulged in were delicious! There was a mill there as well, though as it wasn't milling not as exciting as one that we had visited previously. And must say that the meadow of wild flowers was stunning, the picture doesn't do it justice!
At lot of British people think they have to go overeas to see wonderful places, little do they know about all the fabulous places that they can visit here! Though isn't that the case of most people - wanting to see places that aren't home!
